A vast seam of moonstone has been discovered beneath an ancient grove.

Moonstone is immensely valuable. It can strengthen protective enchantments, power magical artefacts and provide resources that several communities desperately need.

But extracting it will disturb some of the oldest roots in the forest.

The dwarves believe careful mining can be undertaken safely. The dryads insist that nobody understands how deeply the roots and moonstone are connected. Goblin merchants point out that refusing to use such a valuable resource while communities struggle would itself be irresponsible.

Meanwhile, some elders whisper that returning the raw moonstone directly to the Ancient Oak could surge the forest's waning magic, though this would leave the communities without the resources they crave.
